Thrush

It's quite common if your blood glucose levels remain elevated.

Hi does anybody have thrush quite often?

Josephine - Are you using any medication to help you control your T2? If so, what are you taking?

As well as higher than ideal blood sugars, a couple of meds can also lead to some people experiencing thrush.

In the early days just after I was diagnosed as type2, I frequently had oral thrush but has now gone thankfully
In saying that, I do remember getting oral thrush alot before I was diagnose, so it could be likely that I was diabetic then and did not know

Just going through a bout of it now funnily enough. I have recently started Jardiance which puts the sugar in your pee. Yeast infections love the sugars. I now have flush wipes that I use after going for a pee to see if that helps. Well, it can not do any harm.

Hi does anybody have thrush quite often?
It was recurring thrush that sent me to the doctors where I was diagnosed as diabetic. IF i am feeling under the weather it comes back and I find that I need to use cream and pessaries. my GP lets me have a couple of prescriptions so that I can use them as soon as I need to.
