I don't want to deflect @SlimLizzy 's thread, but I assume you meant your TSH is over range, not under?

Apologies SlimLizzy for derail of her thread.

DCUKMod, thanks for your interest, I'm attaching PDF of thyroid report. TSH of 0.16 is BELOW reference range of 0.40-4.00 microIU/mL. Have I misunderstood the results? It's quite possible. Strangely enough I've been reading a magazine called What The Doctors Don't Tell You. There's an article about thyroid issues and brain fog. I definitely have brain fog and I always blamed the statins.

My thyroid is under performing so I take medicine for that. Thyroxine or something like that.

Your results look like mine. You do not appear to be converting T4 to T3 but you will have to be extremely lucky to be prescribed T3. I have to buy mine from abroad but it is getting more and more difficult to obtain.

Ah, I see that now. Your previous post, as per the screen snip below, suggest 16:

As a matter of your personal security, I have removed your .pdf attachment to you post above, as it contains personal information which could be used to identify you, and also includes your Doctor's details; neither of which we allow on open forum, however, I have snipped from the image and attached it below. Feel free to edit this into your own post, if you think it would help.

In terms of what is going on with your thyroid, I'd agree with @carol43 that your thyroid doesn't appear to be performing too well. Your FT4, whilst in range, could be higher, you don't appear to be converting at all well to T3. My own bloods are a bit of a variation on this theme, except my TSH remains higher, despite increasing medication.

I'll be very interested to hear how your Doc intends to tackle this. The number of folks who end up either medicating privately, or even self-medicating is quite alarming. Our T3 levels are really important to our wellbeing and it appears also to how we actually feel.

I'll be fascinated to hear any updates.

Thanks for that, brain fog meant I didn't even think about it. I'd been struggling to do a screenshot and just attached the PDF without thinking. Cheers.
