Can I ask why type twos have to have such tight control when pregnant?

I'm currently 34 and half weeks pregnant and test four times a day before meals and at bed and been told I have to keep it between 3.5 and 6. Which in all honesty is and nd bear impossible task especially when all you want to do ins eat

Plus if I go below 5 I feel like I'm having a hypo5

Bump... from someone without one ;)

It is most probably to avoid any complications but it does seem to be a very restrictive window in which you have to try and stick between.

It's to prevent damage to the baby, not to you, quite honestly. Don't worry. You haven't got too long to go now!

I've been told to keep sugar levels from 4 to 7-8. It was hard being type 1. But most of the time possible. I was checking minimum 7 times a day though. Before and after meals, before bed and when I wake up. If sugar was higher than norm, I checked again in an hour or two (after taking extra insulin).
