Type 1 Time in range when using an insulin pump.

I have been thinking of trying to get an insulin pump after 58 yrs as a type 1 diabetic, I was just wondering what sort of time in range, user's of pumps get. Asking the question because if it is not going to be a lot better than what I get presently, then it does not seem like a good idea to do it. Yes I do realise that there are other advantages of having a pump, but feel this is the most important reason for me to do it.

The general rule of thumb is anything above 70% is a good TIR. Everyone’s TIR can vary, mines usually around 70-85%. Getting a pump isn’t straightforward unfortunately and if you already are getting good results with pens it’s unlikely you’ll get one without having to self fund.
