Would appreciate some views
In the latter part of 2016, my HbA1c was found to be high (circa 52) and diet and exercise brought it down fairly quickly to acceptable levels (circa 39) and this continued until September this year when it shot up to 58 following surgery to remove a melanoma on my face ( I also had relaxed my diet and exercise regime following the surgery). I have reinstated the diet and exercise but after two months my blood sugar using OneTouch finger pricking seems to be continuing high (10.7 mmol/l before meals).
My question is how long should I continue my regime before considering other action (medication)? In other words how long does it usually take for a Low Carb diet and exercise regime to show results, if it is going to?
Regards
