Timing of bolus

I'm a type 1 on omnipod dash and freestyle libre 2. For a while now my blood sugars rise dramatically straight after meals and I'm finding that giving my bolus even 30 minutes before doesn't seem to curb the rise. Any ideas anyone?

What insulin do you use?
And what are your levels like before your meal?

I ask because the higher our BG before eating, the longer it takes for insulin to start working.
And if you are using NovoRapid, there may be faster insulins available such as Fiasp.
