Peadair, I'd urge you not to get too wound up on it for now. It's very early days for you and neuropathy, if that is indeed what it is, can be repaired, but decent control. That has happened to several posters on here.

When nerves are a bit dickie, they tingle - both when being (or have been) damaged, but alos when repairing. The tingling could be a sign your nerves are healing.

You're doing well, and if your good numbers continue, you stand a chance of helping yourself heal, if indeed you have nerve damage.

Non-diabetics can have neuropathy, it's just less likely. I have neuropthy on an area of my ribs, following s surgical process, which seems to be healing some two and a half years after surgery. That neuropathy is zero to do with diabetes, but totally to do with my bones being scraped like lamb bones in a rack of lamb.

Perhaps next you see your Doc or nurse, you could ask them to check your feet over, but if this is bearing on your mind, you could make an appointment to discuss it and have them check your tootsies over. We need to be mindful and look after our feet.

It is true. I have neuropathic sysmptoms caused by a spinal condition which predates my diagnosis of T2 by decades. I remember you mentioning problems with your knees, this may or may not have a bearing in your case. Best get it checked out for your own peace of mind at the least.

Agree with the others. I had tingling feet - sometimes almost burning, especially after exercise, on diagnosis. Much improved (almost gone) with a significant period of blood sugar control. You seem to be making great progress but not harm in getting checked to put your mind at rest.

Thanks a lot for all the responses . Mind calmer now .
It’s not to excessive but I know it’s there . Seeing my doc in about a month so I’ll see what it’s like then

If it's any help, I've had this but only since massively lowering my bg to normal levels, I don't remember experiencing it before diagnosis, so I can only assume it's some nerve damage that's healing now. It has settled down now, but was most obvious when I was drastically changing my diet to low carb at the beginning of the year.

That’s what I’m thinking now my carb intake has gone down to between 20 to 30 grs a day most days under 20
So we’ll see what happens onwards and upwards

Yeah - I bet it is healing. I had also issues with my legs and after one year with normal BG levels (most time under 5.6) the problems are gone ...
