I had something similar a few weeks back...took some general advice from a friend who thought it was down to RSI or carpel tunnel. I treated myself to an elbow support strap for a few weeks and altered my working position...touch wood it seems to have done the trick. Hope it's something as simple as that for you too
Would you be kind enough to share you last HbA1c reading with us? or perhaps make a comment on general trending of your sugars? (like - do you have generally low readings (4-7mmol/L or are your readings usually higher then 10mmol/l ? )
When do you notice this feeling? If you stand up straight for say 5 minutes with your arms hanging by your side - do you feel it ? Or is it only in certain positions? Like laying down with your hands on your chest for long periods?
I had something like that when I had a trapped nerve in my shoulder/neck. What made me think of it was you saying it felt worse when you lifted up your hands. Mine did too. I had that trapped nerve for weeks. Even when the initial pain went, I still had the tingling for a while. I could feel it particularly in the ends of my fingers when my hand were hanging down by my side.
I got my trapped nerve by working at the computer at the wrong height. It's worth a thought to see if you think back to any trigger. I've also had it when I've slept on my tummy with my arms up higher than my shoulders.
Hi, I get that sometimes too, Ive been a type 1 diabetic for 6 years... I wouldn't let it worry you... however if you continue getting worried, then best to speak to your doctor.Im a type 1 diabetic diagnosed February 2015 and have recently been feeling like slight pins and needles in my hands which get worse if i stretch or lift my arms up. Theres no burning or itching or anything else, just pins and needles and is worrying me. Anyone know why it is happening or get simmilar feelings?
