tinnutus statins and sugar levels

I've had tinnutus for a while, had a particularly noisy episode and noticed it was listed as a side-effect of the statin I was on. I stopped the statin( Don't panic I was borderline anyway and nearly came of it because of insomnia). Anyway noticed my sugar levels drop through the floor had to cut back 10% on basal pump as I was low so often. Anyone had similar experience? Been off the Statins for 2 weeks how long before I can tell if tinnutus is affected?

For side-effects of statins, try Duane Graveline's "spacedoc.net" website. He's very anti-statin (he experienced a bad reaction when he took them himself) but he is certainly very thorough when he goes into the side-effects.
