Tiredness?

Hi Roxy,

..Keep going ..diet n exercise, I am sure everything will balance out for us both? 10 months now I have been unwell and only diagnosed T2 10 weeks ago, Doc tells me its early days and lets see what I am like in 6 months.

I am finding it very hard to judge the food thing? since in my head I am ok and 'normal' I cannot get into the fact that what i eat makes me feel so awful? ..its only food! So I have a good week but the portion sizes are wrong?! back to feeling poorly again? Feeling tired , headaches, dizzy...therefore cannot be chewed with exercise! round and round and round I go!

I have been told that exercise is VERY important to the whole process? Get the body fit and it will result in me feeling better? I am 16 stone YES overweight for my height 5'10 but I am stocky build and active..BUT not enough?

I am going to have to up the exercise now and see if it helps, I am looking at getting down to 14 stone by october slowly.

Thing is the Doc never gives me any real positive feedback as if she does not really understand fully my issues? I keep giving her my symptoms and looking for a response to improve them and I seem to get not much back other than the diet and exercise thing?

Anyway....keep in contact!

i too am 15st 12lb....was 16.8 when told 3 weeks ago,

it is hard to excercise when you feel tired, i keep looking at my treadmill, but i need to stop looking at it and get moving on it :)

i guess i was hoping to feel better by now too, !! if was to go to the GPs, i dont think could help me to be honest because its so random,

i just keep taking the iron tablets and keep an eye on my sugar, oh move more

are you on a low Gi diet? if not what diet are you doing?,

i have reached the point that if i was just dieting for vanity reasons like i have tried to do in the past...i would have jacked it in by now...has i feel like my body is rebelling...but this time i cant so its onwards and upwards :? how old are you Dazzy?

I am also 15 st 12lbs - down nearly a stone in a month or so due to low- carbing. The weight loss -I've dieted for most of my adult life and had given it up - is a side effect of trying to get my blood glucose in order. I have fibromyalgia, hypertension, diabetes type 2, of course, and sundry bits and pieces - including - love this one - ocular hypertension - even my eyeballs have high pressure.

Loving this low carb stuff. After denying myself butter and 'real' cheese for years, I'm really enjoying them and losing weight while enjoying my food. Didn't think it was allowed. My doctor is backing me too, so all in all a happy bunny here.

Good luck with your progress. I keep reading and learning and hopefully you will too.

Cheers

Hi Roxy

No special diet as such I think just the change is the start and cutting down and back on certain things is enough at the moment?
NO TAKE-A-WAYS is a must!! If I fancy one ..I cook it myself!
3 meals a day medium portions now rather than bigger and healthier.
No special diet just fruit, veg and salad, fish and lean meats.
NO COFFEE! I hope this will help with the headaches?

Dear me this new lifestyle is starting to make me feel boring!!! ..As I sit here at work with a guy sitting next to me eating crisps, coke and cheese bun!! Me with turkey steak and fruit and yoghurt!

You are spot on with the weight loss for vanity reasons its your/my health now and that is more important than how we look to others?

I feel poop most of the day and only when i have done some prolonged exercise do I start feeling better..this has to be the main thing on my menu from now on...EXERCISE! yes its hard and yes its boring but the diet will not work without it!!
...42 in September!!
