hi everyone, its anneflan again the worrier, since i last talked to you my husband is getting just as grumpy with himself though the burning in his feet has seemed to declined a bit, he just seems so tired all the time, i make sure he does his sugar readings and they seem ok except when hes stressed, which seems to be getting more often with his job, the doc has told also told him to do do his blood pressure every week which i do for him and this seems to be rather low, could this be his diabetes doing this. should i make him go back to his doc, he thinks hes being a nuisance when i tell him to.Also his dad had diabetes and had complications before he died and as i said before he doesnt talk to me about things but i think he worries about these. thanks so much for beign here, anneflan.

hi sugarless sue anneflan here, his sugar readings vary between 5.6 and 7.8 depending on stress sometimes its popping over 10.

Hi

Diabetic people should not be under stress of any kind - your husband might have to consider changing his work. I know it sounds heavy, but also I have totally changed my life around and had to go from manager to assistant level to avoid stress levels. You will find that it is very difficult to keep readings in order when under stress.

Diabetic normally gives you high blood pressure and try to get your husband on a stepmachine for 20 mins per day it will help both the low blood pressure and his bozing feets (smile).

Hi Anne,

Your husband's blood sugar readings are pretty good. Maybe he is depressed?

This can make you underperform at work, be irritable and grumpy with your wife or husband and avoid seeking help from others.

Are you getting enough stress free time yourself?

hi everyone, thanks for your replies and after a few words to my husband graham he got himself to the docs, hes now on the sick for depression but at least its getting dealt with, dont know why some men are so stubborn lol, one again thanks.

I definitely need a new job, leave home and find somewhere stress free........anyone any ideas?

I had a think about stress free life and the only thing I could think of( and I know nothing about it) is a religious community of the kind where the pattern of your day is parcelled out for you and you make no decisions, but I expect that vow of obedience would be stressful to keep too.
