Reactive hypoglycemia

I was diagnosed with reactive hypoglycaemia just over 3 years ago, I controlled it with diet for just over 2.5 years until a few months ago when even pure protein would trigger a reactive low. Basically I got to the point where anything I ate would cause a low, this made me extremely ill- I spent over 6 weeks in bed unable to do much at all. I then saw a private endocrinologist who prescribed tirzepatide (mounjaro) once a week. I have been taking this for 7 weeks now and it has completely changed my life. My blood sugar is steady, I can eat low gi carbs and I can live a normal life without worrying constantly about having a hypoglycaemic episode. I feel better than I have in years. I have also lost weight from all the years of panic eating.

I hope this brings hope to anyone struggling with this awful condition.

Happy to answer any questions.

Best wishes,

Mary
