- Diabetic Educators, people who do not listen, people who do not actively try to make their situation better, people who think I am in their textbook, people who think I am a standard T1D.
I developed DGP a few years ago and I am still amazed, not a single person ever mentioned this condition. ER doctors are now starting to behave like this is a thing each and every one of us has. How is it I never heard of this? I heard I would lose my sight, have heart conditions, lose my kidneys, lose my liver, lose my nerves, die at 16, my daughter would be deformed and mentally challenged, I would die at 22, 32, 33, 41, 45, they stopped projecting my death date when I passed 45.
How is it they never scared me with Diabetic Gasteroparesis? It would not have mattered, I would have done everything exactly as I have, it would have just been nice to know that this ugly thing is also out there. THEN, medical people. Oh how they are judgemental and will not listen. Every time I end up in ER for this, the staff goes crazy lecturing me on the evils of,,,smoking cannabis. Well, isn't that nice. I don't do this so why are you lecturing me? Because paralyzed stomach is prevalent in the Cannabis society because, and I finally got one of those self righteous idiots to explain why they think I want to waste my life not remembering to take my insulin,,,,,Cannabis consumers EAT their meds. The meds get stuck in their digestive track and it's all over from there. I happen to be a T1D control freak. I am pretty much sure no matter how much they lecture me that I have been swallowing Cannabis, I did not, I do not and I probably will not.
I am wondering, do any of you wonderful Diabetical folks have Diabetic Gasteroparesis, paralysis of the digestive system?
How do you combat the pain? I have to take 2 zzquils, 2 Aleve PMs and try to go to sleep. I am not allowed to have pain killers as not only has the Cannabis caused this, all those painkillers I am addicted to caused this. Oh wait, the problem with this, I do not have any painkillers. When I ask if it is possible for me to just have something in case of emergency, I am told, there is no pain and to breathe.
I began drinking 1 cup of smooth move tea in the morning and the evenings. Since I began this tea, I have not gone to the ER. My DGP has been in remission since I began the tea.
Has anyone with this side condition tried the tea? How long did you get your DGP into remission?
