I am getting a pump and I have a very boisterous 2year old. How do people manage having one with their kids. We are trying to get her to understand she can't climb all over me or jump on me when i have the pump but she has very selective hearing

Hi @HJFM18 and welcome to the forums.

What kind of pump are you getting? I've newly on a tandem tslim and I reckon a small child could still climb on me. (Admittedly as my children are 29 and 32 and I don't have grandchilden so I don't have recent practice with this.)

I'm getting a Dana pump so with the tubing as we are thinking of trying for no 2.

If the pump and tubing are kept under your clothing and, therefore, nothing is visible for a small child to get interested in, you will be quite safe. No doubt your hospital team can recommend suitable pump-belts.

I found HidIn made the best pump, belts.
I have also read that some people place a piece of tape to hold their tube in place.

I cover the cannula with a piece of Hypafix tape, so that, even if the tubing gets snagged, the canula will stay in place.
