TOES, NOT NUMB BUT FEEL SCRUNCHED UP

Type 1, insul (nova raid), 27 years diabetic
Right foot all toes seem to be like scrunched up,
I have feeling especially when i put a pin in them, or walk onto a stone...LOL
Seriously, its worry for me, coz we know what could happen to our feet.
The feeling I'm getting is like that of pins and needles, but its not pins and needles,
Theres NO pain either
Research tells me from NHS that I need more B12
Just wondering if you folks have had this in yr toes and what remedies 9if any) worked

Hi @Witchypoo1. You are right to have concerns, as you know foot problems for anyone with diabetes can escalate quite quickly into serious problems.

I have T2, and not on insulin. I haven’t experienced anything like what you describe. However, members can’t really offer advice, or help with diagnosis, because I think you know that you need to get this checked out by your HCP team. Hope you will, and come back to let us know how you are.

Hi @Witchypoo1 , welcome to the forum.
Are you seeing a diabetes team (endocrinologist, diabetes nurse etc) for your diabetes?
I'd definitely ask them about your symptoms before drawing your own conclusions.

I have been emailing diabetes centre at Darent Valley Hospital, to where i am an in/out patient
BUT I'm outta the country and do not wish to take advantage of their hospitality by emailing them
I will be back in the UK in 3 years time to the Uk but didnt want complications to set in before I get back

While you are abroad how do you manage your healthcare access, especially for ongoing diabetes management, insulin prescriptions, etc? Ideally you could engage with a local in-country HCP, that can advise what tests may help show if vit B12 is the issue. vit D3 may also be a useful test to have.
