Too many meds - how to remember to take them!

I saw on the other thread that I'm really lucky not to take that many. The major problem I have is remembering to take them. The easiest thing seems to be keeping a small sandwich box type container with single blister packs for each drug in. Then I have a box, out of site, containing a small number of similar sandwich boxes, each containing all the other blister packs for just one drug in each sandwich box.. That one I can see when one is running out. It doesn't seem to matter how I try to take my meds, one runs out before the others. Frequent attempts to just get the number of pills I need so that I start with 2 months of everything, still seems to leave me with one running out first. What do others do to remember to take them and also make sure they never run out of anything.

here the chemist will do a weekly blister pack of all your pills and deliver it to your house because you're diabetic, the tabs and scripts are kept at the chemist
I'm sure the uk will have a similar system

I think we have a similar system here as well. Unfortunately my problem is more to do with sitting down for a bit of brekky at 06:30 and remembering to take the tablets, likewise lunch and dinner, hence the requirement to actually have them on the table. For some reason HID (Her In Doors, is that a universal term in the english speaking world?) seems to have this "Clean Desk" policy which she's brought home to apply to the dining room table. Although for some reasons doesn't apply when she's got work to do and it's covered in laptop and papers (she's a patent agent, or attorney, which ever you prefer). They can be staring me in the face and I'll still forget. Running out of one before the other when I should start with 2 months worth of everything must mean that I can still forget just some of them, sometimes. Fortunately there's nothing that will harm me, just I get so annoyed with my very poor memory.

I use a 'pill box' do a search. There like a tupperware box with 7 small tubs (1 for each day) with sectioned morning, lunch, evening , bed ,

does your phone have an alarm/s? set a take your pill ringtone and in a couple of days it's a habit
You probably think I'm a right nutter. The other day I used the mobile phone alarm to remind me that I had to go out at 13:00 to pick someone up to take them for a hospital appointment. We have a local "Good Neighbours" organisation where people like me, with time on their hands and a car, take elderly, non car driving people for appointments, like the hospital. My greatest fear is that I'm going to forget and some poor soul will end up waiting 6 weeks or worse for another appointment. I'm pleased to say that the phone alarm went off, but then I spent 5 minutes listening to it and thinking "where's that noise coming from" and "I wonder what it is". Sussed it in time for the person not to be late.

if it's a different ringtone you wouldn't recognise it and be thinking what's that, or you are old like me and we share the same cognitive function disability.
ok, we are getting there, you have a phone, it has at least one alarm setting, you can hear it when it goes off. how many alarms can you set/what type of phone is it?

I wouldn't say I'm a technophobe, especially having spent 35 years working in IT, mainly IBM mainframes, but I use my mobile to make phone calls and send text messages. I have turned off it's ability to look at eMail, Facebook and Twitter because it constantly needed charging and I constantly forgot to charge it, I also constantly forget to keep it permanently attached to my body which I know a lot of people do. I do really appreciate the suggestion and I will have a look, but I'm wondering if I am a bit of a technophobe and the thought of being ruled by my phone is a little too scary. I am saying all this slightly tongue in cheek. The mobile phone is an amazing device which I don't use to it's full potential. I will certainly have a look. Thank you.

Here we are 11 minutes later, three alarms set up, one each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, let's see how we go. Thank you for the suggestion.

I use the Pill box as well, mine is transparent so its easy to see if you have taken your pills.
I leave it in an area that I am in most of the time( Kitchen in my case).
It eventually becomes a habit, and you don't even have to remember
