Tracking apps

Hi, I’m newly diagnosed T2 and am looking for an app to track my sugar levels on my iPhone. Does anyone have any recommendations, please?

I use Apple health on my iPhone, and mySugr. I only use mySugr once and a while, mainly to translate to mmol.. but yeah if you have an iPhone, just plug your numbers in Apple health

In the last 10 years I’ve used many apps many of them very good

It depends what you want to achieve

You could just use the calendar or Apple health

If you use a bg meter they may have an app

Or

MySugr
Si diary
Glucose buddy
Diabetes pal
Hedia

Carbs and Cals is worth a look to see carb content

I bought a meter which syncs to the Mysugr app on my phone. I deliberately chose a meter that could do this. The different in the cost of the meter wasn't huge but the easiness is what I need. I keep testing as In don't want to get complacent. I'm an all or nothing person so I need to do this for me. You need to find what works for you.

MySugr is nice if you have a comparable meter

Gives some good stats

Take the hba1c estimate with a pinch of salt though

Hi,

Spanner in works time.. :) I have tried MySugr & have a BT enabled Roche meter.

I agree with @searley taking the A1c estimation with a pinch of salt.

What I've used for years & went back to after my dalliance with MySugr, is an app called "Diabetesconnect."

It syncs & crosses device platforms on my iPad & Android phone via my email account.
& the A1c estimate isn't bad..
But that all depends on the accuracy of the data which I manually input.
I found ages ago my Roche meter reads 15% higher than a calibrated NHS nurse's issue & so does the app's estimated A1c to what comes back from the lab?

I suppose we all have our indevidual ways of diabetes managment I like the idea of logging my BGs using whatever device I happen to have in my hand or pocket at the time....

Ah! Perfect! I was wondering if there was a meter that synced with my phone!. Can I ask which make/model you have, please?

Brilliant! Thank you, guys. I didn’t realise the health app on my iPhone can be used to track blood sugars. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever even opened it :shy:
