Having worked in a travel clinic a few years ago, I'm basing this on memory, but I don't think that any malaria tablets are "caution" with diabetes. Only chloroquine & proguinal are available without prescription and neither are suitable for Kenya, so you will have to be prescribed tablets and pay full amount (no free prescriptions for travel medicine), so both the prescriber and the dispensing pharmacist have a responsibility to check the items and suitable for you.
One additional point - no malaria tablets are 100% effective, and are much less effective if you don't take them exactly as / when advised, plus there is no protection (tablets or injection) against some insect borne infections, so it is vital to avoid as many insect bites as possible, by using bednets, DEET based insect repellent on skin and / or clothing, long sleeves / trousers etc.
