Travelling to the US

Hi there.

I am going away to the USA soon and just wondered if for any reason my insulin got cooked in the heat, or lost etc does anyone know if you can buy it from the chemist/drug store out there?

Thanks

I guess the answer will vary between states, so you'll need to research that yourself. However, with a bit of care, your insulin should be fine and not need replacing. Worth carrying a prescription or repeat prescription form for reference. Not all insurance policies cover medications, so it can be expensive to replce.

When I was in the states in the summer just gone, I still had my pump at the time and the insulin in it was fine for the usual three days, just don't leave you pens in direct sun. Also I got given a fridge free in my hotel for my Insulin so you could try that too.
