Treadmills

Hi Jim. I have an exercise machine. I use it for just ten minutes of hard exercise about an hour after eating when I know my BG will be at it's peak usually. Testing has showed me it brings my levels down quicker and lower. Treadmill will work the same of course

You're right. I much prefer running outside, but this week I'd kill for a treadmill in the garage.

Are they worth having to help with exercise to help control blood glucose.

Jim,

That all depends on you. Are you going to use it for running or walking? If you are a serious runner or a walker then I think that they are a great alternative, although when I'm in a hotel gym, I don't find that exercising in front of the TV is as fun as it seems in principal.

Personally I'd convince myself that I was going to use it, by putting in a few weeks of outdoor training.

All exercise is good at helping you control your BG, and some people suggest, 30 mins a day is the singest biggest thing you can do to influence your long term health outcomes.

Should do but all depends upon the duration you are using one, I have an exercise bike in my garage which I am using most nights but nothing beats getting out in the fresh air..... weather permitting!
