Yes, my blood sugar has been low as I've not been eating much anyway since this started in September (worry and anxiety) . I've dropped meds and my insulin has been reduced dramatically as I was having low sugar readings a lot. Still got 3 more B12 injections next week and hoping pregabalin at 400mg a day will help/kick in soon! I'll try anything.
Stay after it. Hopefully you get some relief soon. Like I mentioned, mine slowly but steadily got better over the past 5 plus years. Trying to figure out what caused this recent flare up. Mine seems to vary in intensity too. How about for the rest of you?

There is so much uncertainty about neuropathy, I think my neurologist and GP did so many different tests to rule things out, that after all came back OK it is a case of, have Vit B12 injections and take pregabalin and let's see!! How long did you have your symptoms for? Was it just B12 injections and lowering your glucose that helped this?
Well….time passed and according to my ENT, post covid syndrome takes time to resolve. It could be from post covid. Because at the same time I got foot paresthesia, hand numbness at night, hair loss, chronic congestion, etc, I also had smell/taste disorder. Lost my sense of smell….failed a smell test miserably. Also got severe bitter taste in mouth. Part of that has resolved. An EMG on my feet and hands showed no large fiber neuropathy. I haven’t had any pain.

I got covid in early September 2023 and was at the primary soon after with my symptoms. Referred to ENT and neurologist in November. B12 deficiency missed by first neurologist. Second one found and resumed injections in summer 2024. Have gradually improved. Smell and taste returned. ENT and Neurologist give me hope more recovery is possible. At least a year….maybe more. So, all along I’m also improving my a1c. I can’t know exactly what happened and what the outcome will be. It could be coincidental and due to diabetes.

Sadly, I still have a constant bitter taste. ENT is hopeful.

I would say keep hope alive. I used to have little faith that I would get better, but so far….I’m much better.

Im having the same issues with feet. Numbingness and tingling feet all day long. A lot of times also periods with painful feet .
Its frustrating because it never seems to let up.
How are you doing now? How long has it been going on?
