Newbie
Hi,
I am allergic to tree nuts, e.g hazlenuts brazils almonds cashews pecans walnuts etc.
How can I replace the nutrients and minerals I used to gain from eating these wholsome foods.
I am unusal in that I can tolerate peanuts and peanut traces but the salt and fat of roasted peanuts is not helpful.

By looking at http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/nut ... cts/3085/2 you can see what minerals and vitamins are in for instance almonds.

If you compare that to the info you can get from http://www.healthaliciousness.com/most- ... -lists.php you will see that a lot of other seeds have roughly the same nutritional value - pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax (ground), sesame.

I cannot tell you whether that hits your allergies too - you will have to check that with a doc, I suppose.

But do have a look, and roasted seeds of that nature can be quite tasty too.
