I have recently switched from Lantus/Novorapid treatment to Tresiba/Novorapid.
My Lantus dose had been 28u daily. I am now increasing the Tresiba to 32u and also Novorapid doses increasing.

Any observations from members who have similarly switched would be appreciated

Hi malvern, I've just recently switched from levemir and novarapid to Tresiba, I was on 32 units of levemir and taking a lot of correction doses of NR as levemir wasn't working for me and have reduced my Tresiba to 29 units now with less QA as Tresiba is working a lot better for me.

You shouldn't have to increase your QA if your background is working ok.

Hi Malvern,

I switched to Tresiba from Levemir in February and find I need exactly the same dose. AS for QA if anything I have found I need a little less Novorapid in the morning as the tresiba seems to work better for me in the early hours.

When you say recently do you mean days or weeks. I only ask as it took quite while for my levels to stabilise and I found I got more stable results if I took the tresiba in the morning as opposed to the evening when I used to take me levemir- dont ask me why but it seems to work :-)

worth doing a few tests as Robert suggests.

Thanks. I switched nearly two weeks ago, and am pleased with the switch-over.
I test 5 or 6 times a day and glad to say results all in single figures.

I have had to increase my morning breakfast Novorapid at 7AM from 12u to about 16 or 17.
And generally increase my Novo rapid at meal times by a few units.
My Tresiba dose remains the same as the Lantus dose I previously took.

I am also pleased to say there are no correction doses now necessary.
