Tresiba

Does anyone have any experience with Tresiba? My consultant has just given me some to try (daily basal injection with 25 hour half-life and length of action up to 72 hours, if I understood her correctly). It supposedly produces less incidents of hypoglycaemia. Would be interested to hear your comments.

Hi! Ive been on this insulin for a few months now. I think its great, i do it once a day, before bed and it stops my night hypos as i was getting them regularly and then getting really high sugar levels the next morning. Its supposed to last a full 24 hours as background insulin, unlike others which claim to but actually run out earlier. This helps my evening readings to as they tend to creep up abit! Hope it works for you
