I wish I had my LDL and HDL numbers from when I lowered my carbs and remained on lowish fat.
Obviously it's only anecdotal but the greatest surprise I had was that when I cut out bread/pasta/rice/potato from my diet, my total cholesterol dropped from 5.3 to 3. It at least gave me the confidence to bin statins and after 4 years not taking any and my recent so called "heart attack" while on holiday in the US, where several tests showed a healthy heart and the arteries of a 60 year old (I'm 64, I'm happy).
