Hi

I've been referred to physio for trigger finger and thumb as I want to avoid steroid injections for as long as possible. Just thinking though, how would physio work as I can't bend my ring finger and the issues are, luckily, intermittent at the moment. Is physio worth it?

I have not visited a physio for trigger finger but have had some incredibly useful physio appointments for other issues.
In my experience, and they are very helpful and have a range of tools available including exercise, steroid injections, stretches and more. For my tennis elbow they had a machine which pulsed my elbow (sorry I don't know what it is called).
My point is not to give up on the physio before your first appointment.

Hi @Peppergirl ,

After a referral for an X-ray, I did Physio for a frozen shoulder a number of years back.?
I seem to remember some hand held device being used on the localised area too?
Excersise pretty much fixed it for me. Which was issued in the form of a routine & diagrams.
Give it a shot. I wouldn't write it off. :)
