I am hoping someone out there can give me some advice. I have been quite bad at the end of last year, eating loads of carbs and putting on weight, with high sugar levels. So at the beginning of January I have started a very low carb diet and going to gym. After only a week my sugar levels are almost back to normal and I am feeling a lot less bloated. However, I seem to have hit a horrid side effect. I cant sleep. I toss and turn for hours. It feels like I have had a couple of cups of coffee but I dont drink anything containing caffein. The only sleep I have had is when I finally break down and take a sleeping pill. Does anyone know why I should be having this problem and what I can do about it. As I said, I am already going to gym so exercise doesnt seem to help. What can I do? I am an eight hours sleep a night girl!
