I'm on my 3rd week of trulicity injections and am suffering alot with nausea. It's waking me up as feel need to be sick also upset stomach. Is there any particular food or something making it worse as it's not everyday but does seem worse for few days after the injection. My sugars are slowly coming down. I don't want to give up on the injection as my sugars are finally coming down after several years. I take metformin and truelicity. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
thanks

I was on insulin and trulicity for six months starting at .75 and going up to 1.50 .had tried Insulin + Metformin sr but had to come off due to bowel problems. Have now come off trulicity as on the higher dose had tender abdomen and hard stools. They are trying me on something else soon. Trulicity seemed worse on last two days each week. Don't think trulicity or Victosa worked on higher doses ,in fact whilst sugars improved slightly the downside didn't warrant being on them

I just wondered how things were going with the Trulicity now Kimmy1970? I started it too and have had my 4th injection yesterday, I have felt terrible for nearly 3 weeks but have stuck with it and my numbers have definitely improved and I have lost weight, mainly due to lack of appetite and feeling full very quickly. I was given omeprazole by my GP which seems to have helped with the side effects and apart from a bit of constipation I am feeling much better so hopefully over the worst of the side effects now. I have been struggling to take my metformin though due to the nausea and feeling of slow digestion, I'm supposed to take 4 at night but I think earlier in the day may be more doable. I'd be interested to hear other experiences of this.

Hi all, new to the forum. I started on trulicity last Thursday, read many of the horror stories and was fearing the worst. Already on omeprazole and perhaps this is why (touch wood) I’m tolerating it. 1st day severe nausea and then nothing apart from fullness and ever so slight abdo pains.

Week 2 just gave myself 2nd injection and didn’t hurt this much last week! Anyway survived the first week, minimal side effects and lost 6 pound, I don’t check blood sugars just do 3 monthly HbA1c which was 74 before starting. Hoping week 2 is as plain sailing.
