There is a range of injectable medicines which work in a similar way to stimulate the pancreas to release insulin, amongst other effects - these are all explained if you search on this site. I've used Byetta and Victoza for about 12 years without any major side effects. However, Ozempic (semaglitide) had me almost house bound, (never a few paces from the bathroom!) for the 3 months that I took it. Ask your team if you can try a different one. Good luck
