I usually test my blood glucose 2 hours after a meal. But now I take Trulicity should I wait longer than 2 hours? Because it has not reduced as much as I expected.
Someone said that Trulicity slows your metabolism but when I tried to contact Lily Industries, (only possible by phone to the USA) the customer service lady said that she could only answer questions from Americans using Trulicity in the USA

Trulicity contains GLP-1 agonist, so it mimics the actions of Glucagon. (confusingly not actually Glucagon, but another hormone called Glucagon-like Peptide 1).

So - It doesn't directly slow down your metabolism, but it does slow down the rate your stomach empties, and increases insulin production too. All of that should result in lower, slower rises in blood glucose for any given meal, and a longer feeling of being satisfied.

If someone was equating "metabolism" to "digestion" - I could see that being a thing someone might say, but to my knowledge metabolism shouldn't be affected.

I have no personal experience myself - though lots of people seem to be having success.

To answer your question - you would really need to use a CGM or take multiple readings to figure out what the effect is for you...

Thank you Chris for your reply - sorry about the delay but a nutcase stole my phone whilst I was using it and threw it into the canal.
He thought I was adding to global noise.
Good reply - it clears up many questions that I had about Trulicity but no one knew the answers to

He stole your phone, and threw it in the canal - as a form of protest? - wow, that's a new one....
Presumably he wouldn't get the joke if someone threw him in the canal....

I don’t think it was a protest - he was full on crazy

I was on my phone on a bench by the canal and this bloke was speaking loudly with his hand to his head - so I thought he was on the phone too. Then he turned to me staring and shouting, grabbed my mobile and slung it into the canal!
