Hey everyone,
Figured I’d sign up here for support because, like a lot of people here, I’m not getting much from the doctors.
Had my annual review last week and the nurse complained about my A1c but otherwise, just typed what I was saying about my weight loss, Blood pressure reduction and recent hospital stay for angina-related bowel issues into the computer. When I asked for help and info, I was offered a diabetes recipe magazine.
Normally, if I can actually get an appointment, my doctor will only talk about one topic and only if there’s some kind of action for her. She’s not interested otherwise. You get a sigh and “so, nothing for me to actually do, then”. You can’t go for advice and they get annoyed that I arrive loaded with data from my watch, scales and blood pressure monitor. So I’m looking forward to getting better info!
As for me, I’m 52, live with my cat and work in my front room or the office, if I can be bothered with the commute.
