Hi at the moment I'm eating LidlCrispbreads in place of bread but was wondering if any of you learned people can suggest an alternative, can't seem to get away from wheat ,thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer

Try Lidl Crusty Croc Rice Cakes..... cheap to buy and gluten free. Lidl Scotch beefburgers are also gluten free.

Maybe you could try Burgen soya and linseed bread, most large supermarkets sell it .

Hi @Barry Holt you could try these.
Bread:
3.8 - LiveLife (some supermarkets and internet sellers such as Amazon)
8.1 - nimble wholemeal bread (small slices)
11 - Bugdens soy and linseed (see post above)

Rolls:
8.5 - Lidl high protein roll (looks like a good choice and would probably do you for 2 meals)

That Lidl roll looks interesting Scottish Jim talked about and Sen picture, first chance I get I will call in at Lidl and see if I can find it,ours has a bakery so might be in with a chance.

If you can find it, 100% rye pumpernickel is also wheat free, and very tasty.

I love pumpernickel bread, actually any rye bread or cracker. However, if you believe you have celiac or non-celiac gluten sensitivity - (I was diagnosed with NCGS four years ago) - you'll need to avoid wheat, barley, and rye, also oats unless they are certified gluten free, in other words, oats were not processed or stored in a way that results in cross contamination with wheat.

If you're only trying to eliminate wheat from your diet, there are lots of breads made without wheat now, also gluten free breads, bagels, etc. Not the best for diabetes, but if you are able to tolerate grains, enjoy. :)

never tried any of the above but will check them out for sure :)
