I have been eating Tunes lozenges. did a BG test and came out a little higher than usual considering i have not eaten. I am usually around 5.4 or 6 but just now came out as 6.2. Looked at the Tunes Lozenge box and it contains sucrolse (spelled that wrong I think) Anyway can this ingredient have an effect on my BG?

I guess the ingredient you are referring to is sucrose.
This is a type of sugar so it is likely to affect your BG.
I see sugar-free tunes are available. No idea what they taste like or how affective they are.

The other thing to bear in mind is if you are ill and have a cold, this may raise your BG too.

I hope your cold does not persist for too long and you feel better soon.

No not ill its just a left over sore throat from Christmas. The r sugar fee tunes that contain the Sucrose
I should of said that they were sugar free

Sucralose is made by taking sugar and replacing one of the oxygen molecules in sucrose with a chlorine one. Most / many people find their sugars are ok with it but others have reported BG raising effects. There is also some concern re the effects of such chemically altered products on the body
My sugars are ok with sucralose, but I limit my intake due to the other health concerns
