Boiling up what’s left of the bones etc. Will add celery onions and tomatoes garlic and seasoning- lunch for the week for the two of us

I’ve done the same but only half of my turkey (wings, legs and skin) would fit in the crockpot so the main carcass is in the freezer waiting for the next batch. A few herbs and salt added.

This year I just cooked a crown. It fed 6 on the day. 2 on Boxing Day. Now there’s enough soup for at least a week for 2 of us IMG_1703803180.329500.jpg

Turkey and ham soup for me. Made from the Turkey carcass boiled with herbs, bones then removed leaving all the bits of Turkey. Chucked in the soup maker in two batches each with an onion, and the outside leaves and stalk from a cauliflower (the florets were used for cauli cheese earlier in the week). Final bits of left over ham added after the soup maker finished. 8 portions in total, mostly made From things which would otherwise be discarded.
