Ok so when I was diagnosed my nurse told me I 'have' (emphasis my own) to eat regularly. Now ok I get that my body should have food put into it regularly and quite simply there used to be days when I didn't eat until four in the evening due to how chaotic it was on the wards. However I have now trained myself that to eat breakfast (usually between eight and ten of a morning) and then I usually eat dinner in late evening. Here's the rub my sugars are in pretty good control this way (the app I use right now estimates my hba1c to be 6.6 (down from 6.7) and I have it done again at the end of the month
so I see how accurate the estimate is). My point I suppose is this: given the medication etc are two meals enough (and no I'm not generally hungry in between)?
