This morning sugars at 5.1, 1u NovoRapid, porridge and raisins, 50g carbs.

Thanks for your replies. I have no idea how you can eat carbs and keep bs steady. I was all over the place. 50 carbs and one unit? Wow. Awesome. I am extremely carb sensative. I usually take a half unit with meals but it's avocado and celery and a little protein. I have no clue how I would handle 50 carbs. Lucky you!

I am very insulin sensitive too. So by 12.53 was at 4.5. Took 0.5u with soup and bread, 34g carbs. I'll generally find that on my commute home I need a snack to be safe to drive.
Obviously we are all different but if my carbs go much below 120g a day I hypo a lot.

If I go above 20 carbs I hyper all over the place then followed by hypos. This is why I eat small VLC meals so I can take smaller insulin doses and avoid the hypos. How long have you been LADA? What was your c peptide? You must still be producing insulin.

Will PM you later tonight so we don't derail the thread!

So you're really low carb too. Are your protein portions big? Or even meal sizes in general?
I'm trying to get an idea of what everyone else is eating, protein sizes, carb amounts, meal sizes and insulin doses to cover

Thanks for the feed back

I'm jealous about the chickpeas. I find that all legumes, lentils and beans make me spike way too high. Even a super small amount.

@Kristin251, I'd say I have average protein portions and meals are quite small (but not tiny).

@tpaz, I have to be careful with legumes/pulses and just have small amounts. I don't tend to have an immediate spike on them but can keep rising for longer than other foods so sometimes have an extra unit of fast acting after a couple hours.
