Hi everyone!

Hoping for advice on the "coronavirus".

Currently work as a Teaching Assistant and today in the local school next to us, a young boy has been diagnosed with the virus. Just wanting advice on what to do? Will i go to work or do i take precautions and stay at home?

The council said they were doing a "deep clean" in the infected school today and opening tomorrow, but that doesnt mean other kids/adults round about havent caught it already.

My diabetes is well controlled but i also have asthma! Best of both worlds

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Kailz96 ,

I feel the choice is entirely yours.. I've just recently gotten over a common cold.
Under normal circumstances I would have cracked on.
It takes a lot to pull me down. However. COVID 19 is new teritory & these are uncertain times.

Your age & the fact you're well managed is in your favour. But I understand you concern with your asthma.. (I just happen to be T1.)

All I know is when I rang in to inform It wouldn't be doing anyone favours right now if I came to work..
I wasn't told to "man up."

It's a long time sice I worked in schools (& indeed the gen public.) But since a change of career, my contraction of lurgeys have been far fewer..
