Type 1 and high blood pressure

I am a bit of an odd case with my type 1 diagnosis. It seems that I had diabeties for a while before I was diagnosed but it is secondary to me having pancreatitis as a result of gallstones in my late teens. My pancreas lasted a few years then slowly stopped working hence the time it took for me to be diagnosed properly. I have been taking the bp meds for a few days now and have ordered myself a bp monitor. I see my specialist on 10th September for a review and he will look in to my kidneys then. Fingers crossed the bp will be lower and in normal levels.

I don't know anything about pancreatitis but it sounds like you're doing the right things. Win win.
