Hi everyone
I am new on here, so apologies if this has had a lot of answers but i cant find too much
I am a type 1 diabetic and take a basal insulin Levemir 2x a day plus fast acting insulin
in April I am going to Australia (lucky me) and am travelling across 10 time zones to get there
I have tried looking for advice on if and how to adjust basal insulin levels for my journey
I have looked at websites such as diabetictravel.org but the advice is limited to specific scenarios
and given advice on other websites (i can post here if people would like) and seen equations for calculating the amount of insulin to inject but again they can give different advice
I was wondering if people had traveled to Australia from the UK and how much they managed the basal amounts, whether they did a stop off or not
many thanks for any help
