Type 1 and weight loss

Hi guys. In need of a little advice. A recent trip to hospital and changes to my insulin doses have caused a bit of weight gain. People say that I don't look fat which doesn't help as being 5ft2 the smallest amount of weight gain makes me feel huge. Can anyone recommend a decent diet to try to help lose the weight I've gained? Something that I can eat carbs with but doesn't involve eggs!

Perhaps a better place to start is to assess your current and discuss why it isn't working for you.

While many people have similar diets, we each customize them to what works (and what doesn't) for us as individuals.

For me eating carbs never equated to weight loss ever
Are you eating more arbs than before you started insulin?

Also at 5'8 a few pounds makes a huge difference to me

I have been using insulin since I was 6 and was also told to have carbs at every meal. I really need to reprogram my brain! I love carbs and they don't tend to affect my sugars if I count them correctly. I have cut my portion sizes and am trying to keep myself active as I eat when I'm bored. Just stuck in a bit of a rut at the moment

I was told the same thing. Eat carbs. However I could never keep bs steady and was chasing it up and down. I cut carbs which made me cut insulin and I am much steadier and weight dropped. It's tricky though

Who doesn't love carbs ? Before insulin and with insulin they packed the pounds on me. I don't think I have a lot of the enzyme amylase to break them down so they bother my digestion as well. I store carbs like crazy. Now fat? Not so much. We are all different
