TYPE 1 and weightloss injections

Good afternoon,

Just curious if anyone has been prescribed weightloss injections as a type 1?
I have asked my diabetes team about being prescribed this and waiting list for a response from their MDT discussion.
My BMI is 31 and have heard it can help with weightloss and blood sugars.

Any information or advice would be amazing

Hi @Chelsea-Type1 Personally I don't have any experience to speak of but as I am of a menopausal age I have discussed this with other t1d ladies who speak of using GLP-1's as an option to help with weight loss, just depends if your GP is licensed to prescribe this, helps greatly with glucose control and insulin resistance which is something females with t1d are more prone to suffering from with our hormones.
