Hi all, I'm new on here. My son has type 1 diabetes and autism high functioning he was diagnosed with type 1 at age 3, autism at age 2. he went into DKA and that is how I found out when he had type 1. My Isaac is a very fussy eater because of sensory reasons. But sticks to the same foods, he is non verbal which can be a difficult one when it comes to him not feeling well so as mum instincts go i just know when he's poorly. Just wanted to know if there is any other parents out there that has a type 1 and autism child? Be good to know as I haven't come across anyone yet and it gets hard sometimes when you go to seperate groups that I have been to. one for the autism and one for the diabetes, and i haven't come across anyone! So I'm hoping to meet people that understand what I'm going through with little one and can help each other out with tips etc.
