Posting on behalf of my husband who is being treated with immunotherapy for cancer. The treatment has wiped out the beta cells in his pancreas so he is now a T1 diabetic as well as having an incurable form of cancer! This happened a couple of months ago. Anyone out there who has also had this happen to them? He is 73.

Unfortunately a few drugs can cause pancreas damage. Steroids are one. There is a section on the first forum page labeled Type 3c and we do have a few members that fall into that Type 3c category. You might find some common ground with people in that category besides of course the type 1 category.

Hugs to you and your husband.

I'll take a look, thanks!
