type 1 & chocolate?

I love dark chocolate these are my favorite brands :-

Excellence 90% Cocoa 100g by Lindt
Vivani Dark 92% Cocoa 80G by Vivani

I tend to have a bar a two on the weekends , they have a minimal effect on B/S and almost make me feel 'normal' again :-)
 
I didnt for over 8 yrs as a diabetic
i now do maybe once a week, i find a few rolos or half a twirl doesnt change my readings:)
 
I have found littlr praline bars that are 20 carbs.. Caramel shortcakes 19 carbs & smartie bite size cakes.. I'm a happy diabetic :') bring on the nibbles -__-
 
I have a snickers or two a few times a week. Just jack up 5u Humalog per bar. Covers me with no significant spike.
 
I love dark choc wit hazelnuts one piece per day, cover it with my meal insulin and it's fine, couldn't live without it, it stops the craving for other sweet stuff. although I do have a slice of cake occasionally - just cover the carbs.
 
I have a couple of bits of dark chocolate everyday, usually after dinner. This is a lot less than I ate before I was diagnosed five months ago. I could not do without it. I'm afraid it's love :)
