Hi all, I am fairly new to type 1 diabetes and have been recording my carbs using a table notes on my phone. I have to correct a couple of times now and found it a slog of a process to work out.
I am using this NHS document to work out my correction factor and it seems to work:

Last night I was thinking about how I could make this easier and I had a little brainwave. Why not make a spreadsheet that would work out my TDD and convert it into my correction factor using the information on the above document?
So I had a play about and now all I have to do is put in my carbs for each meal and the spreadsheet will will work out my insulin. I then fill in how much insulin I give myself for each day and it will work out my correction factor!
I have made this using google sheets which is great because you can make it available offline and it will work on any smartphone or tablet.
If you want to take a look follow the link I have posted below. I have annotated it with more information on the sheet. If you want to use it yourself you can make a copy and edit away!
If it seems wrong, please let me know, I have had a few people look at it and they think I am on the right tracks, as long as that NHS document is right!
