Why are you still asking? We cannot say yes or no but as a member of the EU it's very unlikely you would have to pay. All the advice you need is in the links I have provided already.

Good that you have the EHIC so I suggest you find out the conditions of the card in relation to being a Greek citizen working in the UK.

It might be that the EHIC card only covers treatment becoming necessary during the visit, a long term condition that could be treated in Greece might not get covered. The EHIC card would only cover the same treatment you would get in Greece and the NHS would charge your government for the treatment you recieved here. So if you recieved something over and above what the Greek government would provide for you, then they might track you down with a bill.

Staither, as you have a friend here in the UK you could ask them to speak to their clinic or doctor to see if they can give any information about insulin provision.
There must be some provision within the EU for health care for workers who need insulin, so perhaps they can find out on your behalf before you leave.
Usually you need to go and register at the clinic or doctor's surgery, with your card and also some proof of your address in the UK - though I think there is some allowance made for recent arrivals who might be staying with a friend. You fill in a form and are put on the register.

A lot of the posts here are not very accurate - there are agreements between EU countries for treatment of visitors, students and workers for all health care.

I'm thinking that they will have to fill in the appropriate form with a G.P's signature and send it to the BSA like I did in order to be exempt from prescription charges, otherwise they will have to pay. In order the get this exemption certificate they will need to have an NHS number which may prove the stumbling block to start with.

I'm not convinced it's going to be as easy as this person thinks it's going to be.

@staither Look for Greek information about your rights in the UK.

This is a UK site and the UK government only provides information about what UK citizens can get in other EU countries.

You need to find a site aimed at Greek citizens wishing to travel and work in the UK.

Try too Googling "EHIC" on Google Greece.
