Type 1 got Hgv medical

Hi just a quick ask if there are any users which are type 1 that have done the medical required to get an Hgv license.
I'm going for mine soon so just needed some help on what is required etc

Had mine a couple of weeks ago. You need to take BG monitor with you and they will look at every reading for last 3 months. Apart from that, it wasn't really a medical. It was more of a quiz. What would you do if you had hypo at the wheel ? What is minimum number to drive ? How would you know i you were having a hypo ? What are the consequences etc ? If you make sure you know the driving and testing regs and you haven't had many hypo's, you should be fine. Mine was in Welwyn Garden City. Ask if you want to know anything else.

Thought it was just a medical know answers for that. Got well over a years worth of tests on my contour USB better upload my results so doc can look at online.
Thanks can't believe my docs are charging £120 for it

The doc I saw wanted to actually go through my machine. Yours may be different. I offered to print numbers off etc but he said he must see monitor. Let me know if can't find the answer sheet. I have it. PM me your email address an I can send it to you if you need it. Remember, this is my first ever Lgv Medical so they may not be all the same. I did read on this forum though that they were asked lots of questions too.

yes ve got to go see dvla independant consultant at sutton coalfield nxt wed they must b gettin a lot stricter as my own consultant gave me a brll report i didnt av to do ths last yr but ths is the 3rd stage ov the hgv medical mine ran out oct think the dvla shud send it out 2 mths pror ov t runnn out as the paper work they av sent me to drive firms wll not except this so no job at moment for me as yet
