Hi,
Have been diagnosed T1 for 6 months and sugars are reasonably well controlled, h1ac 5.7%. Have been taking 10 units of lantus at night, then 2 novorapid in the morning and 2 in the evening. Then in the last week blood sugar reading has dropped so stopped taking novorapid and eating more carbs but sugars still at 4mmol. Thinking of reducing lantus as well, but my question is can a T1 stop taking insulin altogether in the honeymoon period? I’m guessing my pancreas has kicked in for some reason.
