Type 1 Insulin Secretion

Greetings .
my fiancé is a diabetic type 1 , she has it for a year or so , she had it after giving birth , the last 3 days we noticed a heavy drop of sugar , it hit 45 dl/mg , then went down to 25 , then the device monitored LO very low , she drank a can of coke , waited for some time for it to raise yet it was still LO , she drank another one and still LO, usually one can is enough for her , but that time 2 werent enough .
She said maybe her body secreted insulin of its own , and combined with the injected one it aggravated the hypo .
Is she right about her pancreas secreting some insulin , and for 3 days in a certain time of the day , could it be her pancreas is functioning ? cuz after birth and tests they told her your pancreas is dead .

1)There's often a honeymoon period for new T1s where they still produce some insulin?
2)Alternatively, could they have mistaken her for T1 instead of T2? (Some people get T1 and others T2 after gestational diabetes.)
3) Alternatively (a really long shot), maybe she's got the right genes like this guy who was cured of T1

4) Or maybe she had some insulin resistance, which has gone down due to changes in exercise, weight or diet.

OK, I'm out of ideas, but I suggest you contact your health professional for advice on reducing insulin doses. Good luck.
