It is perfectly ok for someone with Type 1 to eat pizza.
I make my own about every 6 weeks and have a good idea how to bolus for one and a half home made full fat, full carb thin crust pizza.
Having a pump makes dosing easier but it’s not impossible without.
I would definitely recommend split bolusing due to the high carb high fat content.
For me, I need half up front and half a few hours later.
We are all different and pizzas are different so I recommend lots of testing.
And, of course, lots of practice

To answer your question, it is ok and definitely not bad.
Some food is harder to bolus for than others but I chose not never think of food as “bad”. Thinking of food in that way leads me to feel guilty which I do not think is the right way to think about food.
